141. Premium Graphics Beta Client Now Available for Download - in Macintosh [original thread]
Has anyone had a chance to test the CMD-TAB memory leak bug when running in full screen in this beta? I'm thinking most people on the test server aren't testing for hours at a time, so this one may be hard to validate.

144. No client is better than this client. - in Macintosh [original thread]
Originally by: Ardoreal As it is, the Mac takes a hit because the OGL API that OSX uses internally is very low level and tied to some of the OS core processes. What a user-level app is given access to is a layer of abstraction that goes to...

146. MacBook Pro Eve Settings? - in Macintosh [original thread]
Edited by: SPACE L0RD on 06/01/2009 22:07:09 Hopefully, someone with a similar MBP can respond but as it is, I don't think your FPS are normal. Seems more like you should be 'dipping' into the 20's...not single digits. My Mac, which is slightl...

147. No client is better than this client. - in Macintosh [original thread]
Its not a troll. I agree with the OP on some level. I believe Cider is, in the end, a bad thing for Mac games simply because it's the easy choice. When there is an easy choice, it's hard to make an argument for doing something the right way. Indee...

Edited by: SPACE L0RD on 30/12/2008 19:53:35 switching the the (unsupported) windowed mode has helped me tremendously with the CMD-TAB issue. I can play the client for hours with no crashes (even with EvE voice enabled) as long as I play after...

152. Crashing has returned - in Macintosh [original thread]
Yeah, I've been having these too. Worse however is a couple of times, they have locked up my computer requiring a reboot. Seems like even if I'm able to exit EvE gracefully, I need to reboot the computer or risk it locking up. Some weird s@$ going...

When you get it, reinstall a fresh copy of Leopard and bring it up today with software update, then set up Bootcamp (google it) and load a copy of WindowsXP. That machine will run EvE very nicely in XP with premium graphics. Also load the Mac Cl...

Well, for me, this is almost good enough for a release candidate. With Leopard 10.5.6, a 3.2Ghz Core2 processor, and nVidia 9600GT @ 1900x1200 (BeamSync disabled), I'm seeing around 70'ish FPS in station and around 30 - 45 running around in med s...
